FALL HAS ARRIVED!!!
While we say so long to Summer and our very dry heat, we fondly look to Fall by welcoming: fabulous daytime temperatures, cool evenings. pumpkins, and the holidays.
While enjoying perfect days, it is very important to think about the most common illnesses associated with Fall. Fall always brings flu season, which is why we follow the American Academy of Pediatrics guidelines for Flu Vaccines. GET YOUR CHILD’S FLU VACCINE TODAY.
Fall also brings; the common cold, acute ear infections, and bronchiolitis. Remember we are here to help when these illnesses appear. It is important to see your child’s Pediatrician when these signs and symptoms arise.
Although fall has just begun, it is important to get those well child check ups scheduled as soon as possible. Our Fall schedules fill up quickly, so call early to ensure your child has everything he/she needs from us for the school year.
We get lots of questions about screen time, computer and cell phone usage, which we can certainly review guidelines for your child at their appointment. A good rule of thumb would be to look for media choices that are educational, or teach good values. Choose programming that models good interpersonal skills for children to emulate.
Lastly, please see our new integrative health page for maintaining optimum health and wellness. Our physicians can discuss any of these ideas with you at your next appointment.
WISHING YOU A FUN AND SAFE FALL
